Q: IOS 7.1.2 is buggy, don't update

After updating to 7.1.2 phone started to randomly restart for a couple of hours, then finally it shut off.  Now its stuck in the "Connect to Itunes" and wanting me to restore to factory then restore.  Great.  Thanks.  Luckily I have an iCloud backup this morning, but I'll have to reinstall all the apps.  For what I've seen so far, this update is buggy, install at your own risk.

After the update, i experience issues with battery: it says 75% but it will stuck to 75% until my phone drained out & when i charge it, it appears to be in 9%.

I experienced stuck up, my phone will stuck that i cant even restart it or even turn it off, the screen is immovable. So i have to wait till it drains out in order to fix it.

Installed 7.1.2 on iPhone 5c. Worked for a while, crashed (shut down) running app. Needed hard reset to reboot; crashed again. Froze on black screen Apple logo after any attempt to reboot. I now have a warranty replacement. Good backup and works fine. Can't decide if I should upgrade it from old 7.1 to 7.1.2. Should I have security concerns if I wait for the fall 8.0 update?

Same with mine. my only issue is that my laptop with iTunes is not with me right now. So I have a worthless phone and I cannot reach my backups for a few days. I cannot believe there is no other way to fix this. So I am left with a dead phone. Thanks Apple.

You can Thank Apple for this STUPID update;  If I wasn't @ home yesterday, I can not imagine not having a not working cell.

people please do yourself a fav. by NOT UPDATING TO IOS 7.1.2 otherwise you too can suffer.

Thank god that I had bought the extra insurance.

The "Chicken Littles" of the world come out of the woodwork every time there's a release of iOS (or anything else; Windows, Mac OS, even mainframe Z/OS). Best to ignore them.

I Guess you all really think that Apple doesn't read everyones post on here as a couple of smart ***'s keep on saying on here!!

Well your wrong cause I received a email from Apple Support Team stating:

"Thanks for participating in the Apple Support Communities.

We removed your post Re: IOS 7.1.2 is buggy, don't update because it contained inappropriate language or comments. We understand wanting to share experiences, but these forums are meant for technical questions that can be answered by the community.

Apple does not read everyone's posts. Apple reads no one's posts except when they are reported. Think about it; there are thousands of posts a day; how large a staff would Apple need to read even a few random posts?

When a post is removed it is because another user has complained or reported it to the community hosts. There are also automated keyword "triggers" that result in things like the asterisks in your first line, and a few triggers that automatically delete messages or alert the hosts.

The hosts are not engineers; they are moderators. While many of them have technical skills that is not their primary job.

Yep, your post would have been reported by other users, and thus taken down by the forum moderators and reported to Apple.

    Normal procedure.

    Me too,

I update my iPads Air  to the 7.1.2 iOS update using USB cable and iTunes in Windows 8.1. After freezing in the midle of the update process, I have to reset to factory mode and restore the backup version :-(. Now, it's seem to be work "fine" except browsers (Apple Safari  and Google Chrome): the browsers freeze more frequently.

With me, this is the worst update version

Yeah thats just great. After the update, my iPhone 5 and iPad mini stopped sending e-mails. After searching support to no avail I called for support. For $19 they would help me. Ha. I can sell both on ebay, get my money back, and say good bye to Apple products. I changed nothing on my phone and iPad except the update. They stopped working, so I don't see why I should pay $19 to fix them. Good bye Apple.

I updated both my iPhone 5S and my iPad Air without any issues. Now I can no longer use my Apple lightning HDMI adapter on either device. I was able to use it on both devices before the update to 7.1.2, now it will not work. Pretty sad especially since I am on travel and use it constantly in the hotels.
