how do i make picture go behind the text??

basically my question is, that i make a document and i wanna insert an image and make it sort of like a background behind the text and i dont know how to do it..

i know in microsoft word you just have to use like image wrap and then there will be choices like "behind text" "above text" and "in line with text" and i cant seem to find it or something similar in pages.. i found a way which is to "insert text" above the image, but im just asking if there is an easier option like with word in which ill just make the image go behind the text in order to turn be able to make it into a background.. i wont have to write my essay into a text bar.

im a new mac user too... i just purchased my new bacbook air earlier this year

english is not my first language so im having a bit difficulty saying my problem... btw i have the latest version of pages

thanks!!!
