Coverflow error: iTunes is unable to view album covers on this computer.???

When i try to use the new coverflow view that steve jobs just couldn't stop talkin about, i get the error message: iTunes is unable to view album covers on this computer. My question is why and what can i do to fix it. If you have the same problem please let me know so i know i am not the only one in the world facing this crisis that is known as iTunes 7.

NOT ALWAYS, but some/most are getting this fixed by updating there video card/driver by going to the PC makers site and....

Updating DirectX by going to microsofts windows update site or here http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=2da43d38-db71-4c1b-bc6a -9b6652cd92a3&displaylang=en

I downloaded and ran that, but it's still the same. Could it be because i have a standard graphix card that came with my comp and not one of those high tech Radeon, w/e they're called thingies. btw, all that was supposed to do was update my direct x right?

Just check your system requirements here
Windows Requirements
Windows XP or 2000 (latest service packs recommended)
500 MHz Pentium class processor or better
QuickTime 7.1.3 (included)
256MB RAM
Supported CD-R or DVD-R drive to burn CDs
Broadband Internet connection (DSL/Cable/LAN) for buying and streaming music

Additional Video Requirements
2.0 GHz Pentium class processor or better
512MB RAM
32MB video RAM

If 'minimum requirements' are the real issue, iTunes should verify before installing itself into a non-working state.

I understand your comment and its a valid one

Im just making sure they have all of this on there system so I posted the minimum AND "Additional Video Requirements" so they can get the whole picture.

Im sure they have the minimum to run it, because it is running. Its just sometimes in a program you need more to get the ...I guess you could call "Advanced" feature. He may not have enough video memory if he has updated and cover art still is not working

Well i have the following and most of it looks good cept the end:

Windows XP (latest sp)
1300 MHz
Latest Quicktime
512 mb ram
CD-R
Broadband
^All those r good, but the rest might be the prob:
1.29 Ghz This might be it???
512 mb of ram
IDK how to find video ram

I have the same problem, I have updated Directx, my video card, re installed itunes. My artworks shows up in all other views, just not cover flow. My computer has plenty of RAM, and a NVIDIA GE Force 2 MX 400 graphics card, and running win 2k. I need help!!!

I am having the same problem, and I'm also getting the same error message and iTunes crashes when I try to access the TV shows section of the music store.

I meet all of the minimum requirements, however I have no idea where to check my video card properties.
