Check out the general troubleshooting in the article below for connecting Bluetooth devices. If you are still having issues, try it in a new or different user to see if it software causing the issue as well as making sure that the device you are trying to connect is compatible.

thanks for for taking time to answer my question but unfortunately it wasn't helpfully
All the software etc is there... it just searches and doesn't connect to any thing, phone, iPad , Bluetooth headset ... Nothing at all
