how to connect iphone to lenovo yoga 2 11 notebook

I have an iPhone 4 2-3 years old now. Just bought a Lenovo yoga 2 11 notebook and it doesn't recognise iPhone. Do I need additional drivers? I have installed iTunes but it is still not recognising the phone can anyone advise?
