Q: Recovering the built-in Notes app for Macbook?

I accidently deleted the built-in Notes app from my Macbook. How can I recover it?

(Also, I am sorry if this is the wrong community to ask this, I'm new here and couldn't find any community that seemed related to this?)

Which OS X is installed on your Mac ?

Click the Apple () menu top left in your screen. From the drop down menu click About This Mac.

The version is noted there.

Troubleshooting advice can depend on that information.

Did you empty the Trash?

Yes, the trash is empty...

It's OS X Mavericks v10.9.4

If you’ve backed it up, restore it from the backup. If not, back up your computer, restart with the Command and R keys held down, and reinstall the OS.

Follow Niel's instructions. In order to reinstall the Notes app, you need to reinstall OS X using OS X Recovery
