They have to fix it asap.

Jul 3, 2014 2:09 PM in response to MyHobbyPaysby Al Bubba,Thank God I'm not alone! Ditto. I've been pulling my hair out today. Called Pro Support and they guy didn't mention that it's an update issue. He thought that perhaps it's related to some music I'm using in my soundtrack (feature film) that came from iTunes and might be copy protected. I deleted a couple of recent adds that might be the culprit but no go. So I gave up and just burned a regular DVD, no problem. This is coming at the worst time - have to deliver screening copies!

Jul 3, 2014 2:45 PM in response to Al Bubbaby Tom Wolsky,AAre you going straight to Blu-ray or making a disk image first?

Jul 3, 2014 7:59 PM in response to Tom Wolskyby MyHobbyPays,Tom,
I am going the way I always have... burning straight to blu-ray on an external Pioneer drive. I have been burning blu-ray since FCP 7 with no problems until this last update. I have tried using "share" blu-ray and sending to compressor... same message either way. This is really frustrating as I have some customers waiting to get their discs and now this!

Can't be a copyright issue.. I am using video directly shot on a camera.

Jul 3, 2014 8:06 PM in response to MyHobbyPaysby Tom Wolsky,Would you please try creating a disk image and seeing if that works for you?

Jul 4, 2014 12:57 AM in response to Tom Wolskyby Glenn Moller,You get the error when burning a Disc Image and when you burn a DVD.
The error is "There was an error creating your disc image. Either the video file or the audio were not in a valid format."
Error when creating a disc image as well.

Jul 4, 2014 1:28 AM in response to Glenn Mollerby Tom Wolsky,Not getting that error when I go to disk image. I wonder what could be in the project that's upsetting it.

Jul 4, 2014 4:38 AM in response to MyHobbyPaysby Russ H,I'm not getting this error either. Odd that both FCP X and Compressor are affected. I'd try a new user account.

Jul 4, 2014 6:54 AM in response to MyHobbyPaysby Al Bubba,Good to know that music files aren't a factor. And glad to see some further discussion on this. I'm sure that Apple will figure out the bug but in the meantime does anyone know a workaround for the problem - like creating a master file QT and then using another application (compressor?) to burn the Blueray?

Jul 4, 2014 6:57 AM in response to Tom Wolskyby Al Bubba,Regarding the question of what project elements could be causing the error, there's nothing new in my project video-wise. I was able to make bluerays via Share until I did the software update the other day. Which raises the question: Is there any way to revert to the previous version??

Jul 4, 2014 7:08 AM in response to Al Bubbaby Russ H,Just to point out that the OP reported the same failure in Compressor. But give it a try anyway in case the causes of your issues are different.
Otherwise, I guess Roxio Toast would be the most cost-effective alternative. renting Adobe Production, Premiere, which would allow you download Encore is another way to go – at a higher price.Russ

Jul 4, 2014 7:33 AM in response to Russ Hby MyHobbyPays,Yeah, I am looking at Toast right now. Should I go with the Pro version or purchase the standard and pay extra for the blu-ray plug-in? I will only use it to burn the blu-ray.
