Jul 18, 2014 12:53 AM in response to t1kby James Gleason4,t1K, I just burned a test project of 62minutes to test your theory and it had no problem completing it all the way through. Again, I'm burning the Blu-Ray to hard drive (SSD) and then using Toast. The FCPX process did not fail at anytime. Have you turned App Nap off for FCPX, Compressor, AND Create Disc? I did (just in case) and have had no problems burning.

Jul 18, 2014 2:09 AM in response to James Gleason4by nordheide,Several people have a problem with burning Blu-ray after updating to fcpx 10.1.2.
Projects >1 hrs or < 1 hrs? However? Apple has to fix it. Even if app nap is the reason.
I have spend too much time to solve this problem. Apple will not pay for that but
wants me to pay 99 € for support. Are they kidding me?

Jul 18, 2014 3:31 AM in response to Tom Wolskyby t1k,@Tom Wolsky & James Gleason: Out of curiosity, could you tell us what was the format & frame rate of your original media when imported, and what output format & frame rate did you select to burn your over-60min projects to BluRay / BluRay HDD image?

Jul 18, 2014 4:48 AM in response to t1kby Tom Wolsky,AVCHD 29.97. FCP does allow frame rate change on export. Compressor used the same frame rate as well. At least of those who has exported successfully works in 25fps.

Jul 18, 2014 4:49 AM in response to t1kby nordheide,@all
after you open FCPX, do you see in activation (in german "Aktivitätsanzeige"):
Codec32bitTool
in red (in german "reagiert nicht")?
Your answer:
1. yes, but have no problem burning BR > 1:30 h
2. yes, and have a problem burning BR > 1:30 h
3. no, but have no problem burning BR > 1:30 h
4. no, and have a problem burning BR > 1:30 h
(For your information: app nap is off for: FCPX including both resource-apps inside, compressor including both resource-apps inside)
My answer: 2

Jul 18, 2014 7:42 AM in response to t1kby James Gleason4,All of my projects are 720/24p. I just use the stock export preset with a graphic for the title screen and chapter markers on.

Jul 18, 2014 7:50 AM in response to t1kby James Gleason4,All of my footage was shot on my GH3 or GH4 in .mov format and dropped into a 720/24p timeline. I also have a few Motion and After Effects clips tossed in. I don't change anything on export except add ing a title graphic and select chapter markers on.

Jul 18, 2014 12:17 PM in response to t1kby Ernie Stamper,In my 1 hour 40 min burn, my project was 3840 x 2160, having been sized by dropping in a multi cam clip that was generated by media from my 4K camcorder, together with HD media originally shot at 1920 x 1080. The BluRay disc was created and burned at 1920 x 1080. Both cameras were shooting at 23.98p.
