Can anyone recommend a reliable recording app?
I'm looking for a quality recording app to record from the Internet on my iMac.
Thanks,
John

What are you trying to record, video, sound, your screen?
I d-loaded it, installed it, but it is not recording from the Greatdy system audio. I can see the stereo graphs, but they are both flatlined even when sound is streaming.
Thanks again,
John
Any sound stream from the computer (without the built-in mic).
Then you are doing it wrong, did you read the directions or just .......

Not sure what you mean by this.
Do you mean audio coming from another application or audio coming from an external source (not the mic) such as a USB audio connection?
Hi Frank, the OP already has Greatdy Audio software installed, and Audacity, he says that none work (he has posts scattered about ASC) And it's internal audio.
I found many complaints about Greatdy, no sound being the most common. Also many complaints about no sound after it has been removed. Here's an example.
When I connect to record directly from my mixer, I need to click on an option other than Mic input, my only option is greatdy which when selected records nothing. I plug into the audio in / out which on my macbook pro is just the 1 connection. do I need to delete / uninstall greatdy? If yes how do I get another option other than greatdy. frustrating as **** please help.
Hi,
Thanks for the heads up and congratulations on making level 8.
Looking at the OP's other posts it seems he was looking to record from an external device and isn't the propose of Greatdy Audio to shunt audio from one app to another? At least that is how I read it. If so then it's not going to do anything for the OP if he's looking to record an external device.
At least that's what I read but I just donated blood so my mind my be a bit fuzzy 😀
regards
Edit
To the OP i second the recommnedation of Audacity. I have used it for years and it does a very good job.
According to the site that is one of the features, but this is the third time recently that I have seen Greatdy involved in audio problems. Hence the quick search which revealed enough posts on the subject to suggest removing it.
I also am not happy about the near total absence of real information on their site.
Thanks .....
Yes. But also any sound coming from the computer (and streamed from the Internet).
Any sound coming from the computer (the Internet).
Uninstall the Greatdy Audio Software per the vendors instructions.
