I sometimes put my son's iPod into Guided Access mode so he can listen to music, but not play games (i.e. at bedtime). He discovered that he can defeat Guided Access by draining the battery completely. He has an iPod Touch MD057LL/A (iOS 6.1.6).
Has anyone else encountered this weakness in the Guided Access feature? Does anyone know how to fix it?

The good news. Congrats, you have a smart kid. The bad news. That's a loophole he exploited. There is no fix currently. In fact, he can just disable it by holding the home and sleep/wake buttons until he sees the Apple logo to do a reboot. It's only a matter of time before he figures that one out and doesn't have to wait for the battery to drain.

Thank you for your quick reply. I suspected that a reboot would also defeat Guided Access. I am trying to get him to learn to act responsibly around electronics and screen time, but not very successfully so far. Clearly there is no techno-fix available here. - MEM
