how do I get ical to print out without adding days of the week

Hi, when I print out my calendars they come out with each entry identifying its date, day of the week, and time before it tells you about the event. Is this normal? it means there is no room for the event, and I do not need all that info in each entry since the info exists just by looking at the calendar.

so on screen I might have an entry on Saturday June 9th that says. pick up john 3p.

but when I go to print it out it comes out as Saturday June 9th 3p pick up john . I would like it to just say 3p pick up john because I already know what day and date it is cause it is in the appropriate box.

how do I fix this and is it normal?
