I would like to create a Number document in which I would just input the login time in cell A2, logout time in cell A3, total minutes deductions in cell A4 and the total hours logged in in cell A5. I hope this is clear enough. Please help.
BTW cell A1 would serve as the shift date for each row.
I have tried
=DUR2HOURS(B14-A14)+IF(DUR2HOURS(B14-A14)<0, 24, 0)
=D15&"h "&E15&"m"
but I am unable to add the minutes deductions as I am not really familiar with numbers.
Please help me 😟
I still struggle with the way numbers handles duration and date compred to excel. (I am also working on an ipad to test the solution)
This is what i did, but i am sure others have more elegant solutions:
Format Cells A2 through A4 as time only, no date
Then in A5 I put this =duration(0,0,(TIMEVALUE(A3)-TIMEVALUE(A2)-TIMEVALUE(A4))*24,0,0,0)
I then get back 7h 30m 0s in A5 when i put the start time as 8am, end 5pm and 1:30 for deductions
