Q: Logic Express 7 wont open

Recently attempted to install Logic Express 7 on my iMac running 10.5.8. It seems to install, but as soon as I try to open it, it crashed closed. If the disc itself is corrupted, then would it tell me I had successfully installed the program. Or does Logic Express 7 have serious conflicts with more modern software?
