CAN I USE LONG DISTANCE WI FI WITH APPLE TV

II am unable to use my MacBook OSX 10,9,3, so would like to use an Alfa long distance WI FI AW USO36H with my own TV which is at other end of house. My WI FI is TPG. and doesn't go that far.
