My FaceTime just rings and rings

I've updated all my software and am now using MAC OS X 10.7.5 and Face Time 1.1.1
I've checked my date and time settings, my camera, and made sure my Face Time is turned on. Still it just rings and rings until it says connection failed. I made sure that the other person's device was updated as well...still no connection. WIFI is good and connected...
