Just today, suddenly I am unable to play YouTube videos I am getting an endlessly spinning progress wheel & then 'playback error' on BOTH my iPhone & iPad

You're the third person I've seen with this problem in the last two days.

First try a reset. Press and hold both the home and power buttons 10-15 seconds till the Apple logo appears. Release both buttons. Wait 15-20 seconds till your iPad starts on it's own.

If that doesn't work try deleting and reinstalling YouTube.

If if still isn't working contact YouTube to see if the problem is on their end.

I had the same issue yesterday... The apple customer support is of no use ... I did all those resetting steps, it's of no use and at last they ask us to contact you tube... I don't know enough about DNS severs to comment, too bad the article doesn't say why five people would be having trouble with their DNS servers only on this one site.
