iPad Bluetooth audio skipping

My ipad has just started having issues playing music with my Bluetooth Jawbone Jambox. It worked great up until a few days ago. I downloaded to iOS 7.1.2 and now it won't play music without skipping constantly.

My old iPhone 4 still works great

any thoughts?
