Connecting Apple TV to pioneer elite receiver
I Want to connect Apple TV through Pioneer Elite receiver's HDMI input 3 or 4...works fine through TV's HDMI input
You need to read your Pioneer manual carefully. Check for HDMI passthrough settings, assuming your receiver functions as a HDMi switch. This is definitely a configuration issue with your receiver, not the Apple TV. A receiver typically works by having multiple HDMI inputs for various components like cable or satellite boxes, Blu-ray player, AppleTV, etc., and a single output port to the HDTV that will be the display. There is also some little amount of signal loss as it passes through the receiver and the length of the cables may come into play.
