Are you asking about the Metadata Tooltips? You can toggle it on and off using the key combination ctrl-T .

If you are asking, how to select what is displayed in the Metadata Tooltips HUD - you can define the various metadata overlays in the drop down menu "Browser & Viewer Metadata Overlays" (the button with icon like a baggage label). select "Edit" from this menu.
