I would like to add my hotmail account to my icloud account. It was there in my account settings but i could not get it to resend the verification email so I delete the account to try and start again. Now it won't let me enter this account name. Do I just have to wait 24hr or something like that?

If you have not received the verification email for your Hotmail iCloud account the attached article has a lot of great information. Once an Apple ID has been created, you as the user cannot actually delete the Apple ID so you should be able to resolve this by following the steps in the article.
