I deactivated my twitter account on the web a few months ago. I forgot to sign out from twitter app on my mac. I have new twitter account now. When I tried to use twitter app on my mac, I've seen my old account profile photo. But I couldn't delete my old account on my mac. Is there someone who knows how I can change my twitter account on my mac app?

I deactivated my twitter account like this:
1. twitter.com/settings/account
2. I clicked on 'deactivate my account' at the bottom
so I could deactivated my twitter account. But I forgot to sign out it from the app on my mac before I deactivated.
I have new account. I cant change it with new one on my mac 😟

Please describe how you tried to delete your old Twitter account from your Mac and what happened when you did it. (Hint: It should probably start with a visit to the System Preferences application, not a web site.)

I did it 🙂 I opened the app on my mac.
I clicked the option 'preferences..' but it isn't system preferences.
I saw my twitter account name. I clicked on it. There are + and - I clicked on -
So I removed my old twitter account on my mac 🙂

Yes, sorry. You can also do it through the Twitter app. I'm not sure whether that disconnects the old ID from the Notifications system (assuming you are using a system new enough to have that), though.
