get iPad/ GarageBand ".band" file from Mac Pro back to iPad

Question: How do I get iPad/ GarageBand ".band" file from Mac Pro back to iPad2?

The particulars:

- The GarageBand file was created on the iPad2.

- Had to restore iPad to factory, so I backed up my GarageBand projects on my Mac Pro via iTunes. iOS and GarageBand up to date on iPad.

- The GarageBand files are still raw/ unedited iPad ".band" docs sitting on the desktop that I simply want back on my iPad to continue working.

- The Mac Pro 2007 Tower has Logic Pro 9, not GarageBand.

I've read elsewhere that one needs to place the ".band" file in iTunes (on the Mac Pro) via the GarageBand file sharing folder. I'm assuming that I do not have that capability bc I do not have GarageBand on the Mac. Do I need to purchase GarageBand to do this or will Logic do this as well? I don't want to recreate all of the MIDI tracks!

Thank you for your time.
