Hi recently updated my podcast. My podcast address was
www.soulelevationmusic.com/ipod/itune_abyss.xml
I tried to submit the link as
www.soulelevationmusic.com/ipod/itune_abyss1.xml
but received a message that the link was already submitted.
the link that is displayed from itunes is the following.
https://itunes.apple.com/us/podcast/soul-elevation-musics-abyss/id727405175?mt=2
right now the podcast is temporary down. What do I need to do to restart it?
Your iTunes Store page is looking for a feed at http://www.soulelevationmusic.com/IPOD/Itune_Abyss.xml . There is no file at that address, so subscribing brings up the podcast as empty; the Store is showing a cached version of the last time it was able to read the feed.
You need to restore the feed to the URL I give above, then subscribing will work again and the Store will update in a couple of days or so. Why did you think you needed to change the feed URL? As you have found you cannot submit another feed with the same title as your podcast is still in the Store. Since both URLs are on the same server you should have no difficulty placing a feed at the original URL. Don't take too long about it - if the feed continues to be unavailable your podcast may be removed from the Store and you will have to start over from scratch.
