Any way to retrieve data (mainly photos) off of a water damaged iPod 4?

I dropped it in the washing machine (because i'm an idiot) so it's completely fried. I recently backed it up on iTunes, but not iCloud. I have important pictures that I really need. Is there anyway to get them back off of the old iPod and put them onto a new one or the computer?

Dry the iPod in a sealed container with uncooked rice for a week and periodically change the rice.

The see if y can import photos.

- If not then:

- If they are in an iPod backup then restore another iPod, iPhone or iPad from that backup. See the restore topic of:

- If you used PhotoStream then try getting them from your PhotoStream. See that topic of:

- Maybe from the restored iPod via
