I have an iPhone 5, IOS 7.1.2 - the bluetooth has suddenly stopped working in my car and wireless speaker.
I've restored the phone from back up and that did not correct the problem. What else can I try?

remove all pairings from car ( see vehicle handbook)
clear iPhone BT link if still there and re-pair

Thanks. I will try that next.
I have had the same problem with my car system since the upgrade, I have tried everything and can not get it to work. It pairs and acts like it is connected but get no sound or microphone.
Not sure what everything means. Have you tried resetting your network settings?
Thank you, Pogster. This worked. Removing the pairings, as suggested elsewhere, did not work because the bluetooth device, although installed by the dealership when I purchased the car was nonetheless a third party product so there were no in-built controls in the car and whatever was in the vehicle handbook did not apply.
I have a ShoqBox SB7220. Since the upgrade it connects, plays music for about 5 seconds, then disconnects. I tried resetting the speaker to original factory settings, deleting the BlueTooth device in my phone and creating a new link. This did not resolve the problem. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Same issues here and re-pairing does not fix the issue. Feel very frustrated
