You know I just changed the resolution on my macbook to get more space. I expected to get 1920 x 1200 resolution but right now my mac says I have 3840 x 2400. So is it just an erorr or I really have 4k display now?
The maximum resolution on a current rteina MBP display is 2880 x 1800. What is being displayed is that your MBP can now support a 4K monitor at this setting:

And it changes if choose another
We know that your retina display will not show 4k resolution, but that the unit will support 4k on an external monitor. You may be dealing with a bug here. I unfortunately do not have a retina MBP to test on.
