How to keep earbuds from falling out?

I know this is years later...but was having the same problem and googled my way to this thread. I forgot my headphones at work and needed something temporary and JUST after reading some of these snarky comments the quick-fix came to me. JUST REVERSE AND FLIP THEM. So right goes in left upside down (left in right upside down) and then pull the cord over your ear. Voila! Good for walking around at least. Can't vouch for running.

I've run out of duct tape so I've started using a hammer and that works really well. As an added bonus I find that the bass is really low now.

...Great news - After the second day my ears have finally stopped bleeding

I agree. Have you ever noticed that people who have to back up their answers with “its not rocket science “ usually have a lower than the normal level of intelligence? (Hence , the back up to their reply, that helps lift their low self esteem)?

I found it interesting that someone had to come to a thread started 3 years ago complaining about the way people display their intelligence by adding a post that adds no value to the original thread....talk about your rocket science....😕

Buy some earbuds that fit comfortably and do not fall out. Or duct tape. 🙂

guess different people have different air sizes I stopped using mine when running because that made them fall out otherwise I never had any issues

for my running troubles I bought a a2dp bluetooth behind the neck headset works perfect

I had the same problem as you especially when running.

I solved my problem by wearing a beanie (when it is cold) or a sweatband (when it is hot). They never fell again!

Get a pair that fit. It's not rocket science.

You had to come in 4 months after this thread started to make that comment? Think about it for a moment, the earbuds have no user changeable parts, so how could anyone make a difference in how they fit into an individual's ear? They are a common size, and people do not all have the same size ear. Do you have a valid answer to the OP's question?

No, it's not rocket science, but it looks like some of the experienced folks on this list aren't either. I mean, come on, there should be a fix for these slippery earbuds that'd allow the wearer to keep the Apple controls and the buds w/o falling out.
