Please describe the problem in as much relevant detail as possible. The "etrecheck" fad hasn't made that step any less necessary. The better your description, the better the chance of a solution.

For example, if the computer is slow, which specific actions are slow? Is it slow all the time, or only sometimes? When did it start to be slow? Did you change anything just before it started? Have you seen any alerts or error messages? Have you done anything to try to fix it? Most importantly, do you have a current backup of all data? If the answer to the last question is "no," back up now. Ask if you need guidance. Do nothing else until you have a backup.

There are a few softwares that can or will cause issues:

The Blackberry software: you do not need it to backup the Blackberry afaik.

Huawei software (StartOuc, HWNetmgr, HWPortdetect), really crippling siftware.

The ZTE software.

Macfuse, probably installed by another (older) software.

Paragon NTFS, maybe just maybe, the latest update is good in 10.9.3, afaik it is not really compatible in 10.9.4.

The Seagate software.

The Devguru software.

---

I propose to set a good backup strategy. And I propose to do a good uninstall of the above mentioned softwares.

Oh and I forgot to mention that you better take all entries out of SystemPreferences->Users&Groups->LoginItems, with the minus sign underneath, especially the Adobe software.
