ipad2 -apple tv

I connected my ipad2 to my new apple tv the other day , watched a movie no problem , used my mac on apple tv the other day , today i was wanting to watch a movie and it wouldn't let me through the iPad , said on iPad now playing on tv but it was not , brought through my mac again it connected no problem , both tv and i pad are connected through same wifi
