Hi, my MacBook Pro is running OS X Mavericks and Windows 7 on Bootcamp, but I somehow have to upgrade Windows 7 to Windows 8.1 Enterprise.My school provides a free upgrade licence for me to use. How can I do this safely on my MacBook Pro without running into problems? Also, if I upgrade Mavericks to Yosemite in the future, will my bootcamp partition be safe?
First thing to do is to backup everything, clone OS X (or use Time Machine) and use Windows backup for Windows.
Then boot to Windows and download the update, follow the instructions to install it. If all goes well after a while (a long while) you'l have 8.1 instead of 7.

What about the Yosemite part? Will bootcamp become inaccessible if I upgrade OS X?
That's almost what I said but not quite, you should not have any trouble, but this is the real world hence my suggestion to backup properly first.
As for Yosemite I don't know the answer yet, I would expect it to be a no but we'll have to wait and see.
Alright so the conclusion is:
-There is no foreseeable issue with the Windows 7 -> Windows 8.1 upgrade
-But I should back up both partitions before upgrading
-Yosemite upgrade may or may not cause issues, unknown at this point
my imac came with lion
I installed windows 7 ultiamte 64bit in bootcamp
I've seen upgraded to mtn lion
windows to 8
osx to maverics
windows 8 to 8.1 using the same partition and just done upgrades haven't had much problems
and the problems I did have was because I upgraded to win8 and again to win8.1 before official support was released
in terms of drivers
