Delete a corrupt iPad backup
After upgrading my iPad 2 to iOS 7.1.2, I received a message that my backup was corrupt, and to delete it and try again. How do I delete the backup?

Assuming that you were using iTunes, do this.
Launch iTunes. From the iTunes menu, go to Edit>Preferences>Devices. Your backups will show in the resulting window. Select/click on the backup and then click on Delete.

I have the presenting problem, but among my multiple devices, the one in question has no backup displayed. Help?
What do you mean by the presenting problem? Are you getting the corrupt backup message?
My apologies.
We own multiple iOS devices.
This is the first time this particular iPad 2 has been synchronised with this particular Windows 8.1 PC since the PC has its OS reinstalled. So there is possible a residual copy of an old backup for this iPad somewhere.
I've attached a screen shot of the error:
Following various threads, I've looked through Preferences window on iTunes and cannot find a backup listed for this one (see below; the devices listed are all iPhone 5 / 5s devices):
So I cannot delete any corrupt backups because there is none listed.
I hope that clarifies the question?
Glenn.
