Lightning charger cable issue

I Have an iPhone 5, my daughter has an iPhone 5c & an iPad mini. As you are aware they all use the lightning charger.

I've had to replace my cable for my iPhone 5 as it seemed to have the same issue as the majority of other people have with this cable. Now Im having to replace the cable for my daughters iPad mini, which is now costing me another £15, which I consider to be unfair. When there is clearly an issue with the cables and it's something that is needed, so I'm being forced to pay for something that is clearly not built to last.

Do you consider this to be right?

Apple has been replacing cables for many users when you take the cable to an Apple store genius bar. However, most users are not having this problem when the cable is removed carefully by grasping the connector itself and not the wire to remove it.

I have been using the same cable that shipped with my iPad 4 and 7G iPod Nano since I purchased them in Nov 2012 without problems.

The problem is with the cable design. I've got an iPad 2 & I've never had to replace the charger cable.

I've got an iPad 3 and never had to replace one. I have an iPhone 5 and 7th Generation iPod Nano, with spare cables and never had to replace any of them either. Apple will replace your cable under your 1 year warranty as long as it is not accidental damage.
