recent contacts that are on my computer are not backed up to iCloud. how to do this?
i now see i should have added new contacts to the iCloud contacts list on the computer and not to the contacts on my mac
but does this mean i now have to manually add them to the iCloud one by one?

If the contacts belong to the On My Mac group, you can simply select them and drag and drop them to the iCloud account to add them to iCloud.
