Can't receive any messages!

recently I traveled over seas to visit for some time. I will be here for a while and I was under the impression my phone would receive iMessages as long as I was connected to wifi. I was able to send and receive with no problem for the first 3 days. Now 3 weeks later I haven't been able to do that at all. It is very important that I am able to receive messages. I would appreciate a quick solution.

Ive already tried several steps such as resetting network settings, hard resetting phone, flipping imessage on and off, etc.

Sign out of iMessage and Facetime. Turn on airplane mode for a few seconds. Turn off airplane mode and retry login. Or turn off the phone instead of airplane mode. Re-sign back into iMessage and Facetime.

You can also try restarting your router if your only using wifi.

Have you tried turning on airplane mode and also turning off your phone?

That is probably a reason your iMessage stopped working.

Have you tried other wifi network? Some wifi network have restricted access which some imessage might not work. iMessage also works for cellular data as well.
