Q: iMessage doesn't work on my iPod 4 touch!

Seen Apple discontinues the iMessage and FaceTime for iOS 6, then you won't be able to access 2 Apple Services on your old iPod touch. You have to get the new iPod touch in order to continue using iMessage and FaceTime. And now on, iOS 6 is at risk.

BEFORE BUYING NEW IPOD TOUCH, PLEASE MAKE SURE BACKUP YOUR IPOD TOUCH FIRST. AND IF YOU TURN ON THE NEW IPOD TOUCH, SLIDE TO SET UP, CHOOSE AS ENGLISH, SELECT YOUR WIFI NETWORK, RESTORE AS FROM ICLOUD OR ITUNES BACKUP, IF ICLOUD, SIGN IN YOUR APPLE ID FIRST, IF ITUNES, CONNECT IT TO YOUR COMPUTER, CHOOSE YOUR NEW BACKUP, THEN RESTORE. IT TAKES SEVERAL MINUTES OR HOURS TO TAKE.

Oh, I almost forgot, you must update your iOS device to iOS 7.1 (for compatible devices) or iOS 6.1.6 (iPhone 3GS and iPod touch 4)

after i hard reboot,  reset network settings didn't work

THEN i found this

FaceTime, Game Center, Messages: Troubleshooting sign in issues

this worked for me my child turned OFF auto time and date

once i turned this on

bingo  iMessage worked
