Jul 8, 2014 11:41 PM in response to dwwcby Meg The Dog,Are you seeing these odd frame rates in the QuickTime inspector window? QuickTime frequently gives incorrect frame rate information.
Instead, import your exported file back into FCE and once ingested, click on it on the FCE browser to select it. Once it is selected, type Command + 9 to see the item properties for the clip, and you should see the correct frame rate there.

Jul 9, 2014 4:57 PM in response to Meg The Dogby dwwc,Thanks for your reply.
This is the rate in both the Quicktime inspector window and Comcast's uploader program.
When I import the file back into FCE and check the properties, it says the frame rate is only 25fps!
I checked all my clips and the frame rates for them are 29.7fps. the only one that is not (it is at 25fps) is a still image. Could this be throwing everything off?
I tried to export the image file from FCE at 29.7fps and re import it. In the QuickTime inspector window it states 30.12 but when I import it back into FCE it is at 25fps?
Arrrrghh....

Jul 9, 2014 6:38 PM in response to dwwcby MartinR,Hi,
- What are your sequence settings for the Sequence you are exporting? ( In the FCE Browser, control-click the Sequence name, select Item Properties and tell us what it says for Frame size, compressor & vid rate.)
- Do your video clips match your sequence settings ... ie if your Sequence is 1920x1080, AIC, 29.97 fps do your video clips have the same properties? If not, what are your clip properties? (Frame size, compressor, vid rate)
- Did you render your entire timeline before exporting? (Sequence > Render All > Both -and- Sequence > Render Only > Mixdown)
Also, what version of FCE are you using, and what version of OS X is on your Mac?
