How to setup MDM

H

I started working on MDM, I had no clue how to start working on it for setting up the own server setup (without using Device Enrollment Program), It would be grateful to me if you could provide me the information how to move further after holding the .mobileconfigfile.

MDM is an Mobile Device Management which controls all the apple devices, I am developing for an Organisation, remotely operating the apple devices using APNS, I would like to create my own MDM server and handle the devices, Apple provides the Device Enrollment Program (DEP) as this is not available in India, so I would go with my own server similar like the way Airwatch, Mobile Iron does. I have everything ready (configuration profiles and APNS certificates) but how the server communicates with the devices using APNS is unknown to me.

I know what an MDM is.

Get yourself a MacMini Server and enable / configure Profile Manager: https://www.apple.com/support/osxserver/profilemanager/

Otherwise, use a free MDM such as Meraki from Cisco: https://meraki.cisco.com/products/systems-manager

Read the documentation that accompanies your MDM server software
