i wish to restore a iphone backup which saved externally. i had already move the backup file to the folder where all current backups are. but i'm not sure if it's the correct folder. however it didnt work, as in when select restore backup, the one i wish to use doesnt appear as one of the option. pls help me

Thanks for the question. Is the iPhone that you wish to restore fully updated? Sometimes, if the backup was made on a device with a newer version of iOS, it will not be shown in iTunes until the secondary device is updated:

When restoring an iOS backup to a iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch that is not using the latest version of iOS, you may see the following behavior:
- You cannot see or select the most recent backup from the list of available backups in iTunes or iCloud.
