After updating my mac to 10.9.4, videos in Youtube are not playing. It is only showing "an error occurred, please try again later". I have already checked and my Java is enabled in Safari.
It was playing normally before. And it is also not showing me all the resolution options apart from two (240P & Auto).
Please help.
another thread is going on the same topic.I am facing the exact same problem.Here are some resolutions mentioned in another thread.You can try it,though it has not resolved my problem yet.
t should work on v10.9.4 and Safari 7.0.5 ...
Open System Preferences > Flash Player then select the Advanced tab.
Click Delete All under Browsing Data and Settings
Then from your Safari menu bar click Safari > Preferences then select the Privacy tab.
Click: Remove All Website Data
Then delete the Safari cache.
Open a Finder window. From the Finder menu bar click Go > Go to Folder
Type or copy paste the following
~/Library/Caches/com.apple.Safari/Cache.db
Click Go then move the Cache.db file to the Trash.
Quit and relaunch Safari to test.
If nothing above helped, troubleshoot Safari extensions.
From the Safari menu bar click Safari > Preferences then select the Extensions tab. Turn that OFF, quit and relaunch Safari to test.
If that helped, turn one extension on then quit and relaunch Safari to test until you find the incompatible extension then click uninstall.

While signed in to your YouTube account, load this page. You may see a link with the text "Leave the HTML5 Trial." If so, click that link.
Then, from the Safari menu bar, select
Safari ▹ Preferences... ▹ Privacy ▹ Remove All Website Data
and confirm. Test.
Apple helped me to resolved this issue.It is the problem with DNS.
Follow this and the issue should be resolved
System Preference-Network-select the current WIFI you are using-Advanced-DNS-Select +
ADD the following DNS servers
8.8.8.8
8.8.4.4
This would be handy if I am using WiFi, but I am currently using it on a 3G network.
