how do i restore ibook pdf files after my ipad crashed during an ios update, and i restored my ipad from a itunes backup on my computer? my ibook is blank! why weren't my ibook files restored?
None of your iTunes downloads, nor the contents of the Music, Videos and iBooks apps, are stored in the actual backup, instead a restore would pick them up from your iTunes library - if you haven't got the the PDFs in the Books part of your iTunes library (or the iBooks app if using a Mac with Mavericks on it) then the restore won't have been able to put them back, in which case do you have copies of them anywhere else on your computer (so that you can add them to your iTunes library and sync them back) or can remember where you got them from so that you can redownload them ?
