Advice for iPad set-up

Hi,

I have bought an iPad for my elderly mum who lives in France. I'm not going to be able to take it to her & set it up in France, so I'm wondering if

I can set it up in the UK & ship it to her so she can use it immediately.

When I say set-up, I mean get an Apple Account under her name & use the details on the iPad for iCloud, iTunes etc. Also, get some Apps she'll need & install them so it's ready to go.

Is it possible to do this in the UK, but still allow her to service/ use the iPad properly in France?

Thanks in advance.

You can set up an account if she gives her credit card details. You will not

be able to download apps from the French AppStore to the iPad when it is

in the UK. If you set her up with an account in the UK AppStore, she will not

be able to download when in France.

You can only do part of what you want - set up a French AppStore account while

the iPad is in the UK. She will have to download the apps she wants when the

iPad gets to her.

Can't help you with that - you would have to check with the French AppStore which

you should be able to look at from the UK - but you will not be able to download. Whether

the apps offer English as well as French would be a decision made by the developer.

If the app description does not provide this answer, suggest you contact the developer.

You will be able to choose English as the language for iOS and included apps.
