Apple ID Connected to Previous Owners Macbook Pro

i just purchased a used macbook pro online, the previous owner wiped the computer. will his apple id be connected to the computer AND can i use the install disks?

1. If it's running Mac OS X 10.7 or newer and this version is newer than the computer's original OS, it's connected to his Apple ID. If not, no.

2. Yes, you can use the original disks.

He disconnected all of his stuff from it. i just wanna know if i have to use his apple id to download mountain lion or if i can use the disks. thanks

There are no Mountain Lion disks. You can use the Snow Leopard ones or your own Apple ID to download Lion, Mountain Lion, or Mavericks from the Mac App Store, purchasing it if necessary.
