I would like to know how to connect my Sony camcorder to my Macbook using iMovie via a USB cable or a ilink firewire. The USB cable is not being detected by my Mac & I think I need an adapter for my ilink firewire. Hey ho! Any help or advice would be much appreciated.

If you are having issues with your camcorder not showing up, then check out the first article below to go over some general troubleshooting as well as looking to see if it something that iMovie Supports. Also if you are using Tapes to record the video, then check the second article for steps to get the video to your computer. If you need to use FireWire or i.Link, depending on the vergabge used, I have provided some suggested accessories depending on the type of MacBook Pro you have.
