My mother recently passed and all her passwords did not work for the Ipad. I recently tried to log in to her Apple account, but the email sent was different than her id and personal email I access. I don't know what to do and want to be able to utilize her IPad. Any suggestions?
Because of the Activation Lock in iOS 7, there is absolutely nothing that you can do to unlock the iPad. Your only hope is to take the iPad, the receipt to prove it was purchased, and a death certificate to an Apple Store and ask for help in unlocking the iPad.
That is what I was afraid of. I have everything but the receipt as I believe it was a gift to her and not her own purchase. Shame that it has to be this difficult, but do appreciate it when you lose your own devices. Thank you!
I assume that you will give it a try no matter what, but by all means, make the attempt even without the receipt. You have nothing to lose but some time and effort. Just explain the situation and see what they say.
