how to view screen in horzintal position or landscape position

Is there a small circle and lock in the upper right of the screen? If so, on the home screen, swipe up from the bottom of the screen so you get a grey screen with a circle with a lock in the center of it in the upper right corner of the screen...tap that to lock or unlock screen rotation.
