my screen won't turn on but i can still here my notifications
my ipod touch froze but still plyed sound so I turned it off and tried to turn it back on it did not turn on and the sound has kep plying on and off and this had happened with about an 70 or 80 % of battery life and just to make things better my home botton is broken
Try a reboot by holding both the power and home buttons until the apple logo appears.
the problem is, my home button won't press, its stiff
Try using the power button, hold it down until you get the slider to shutdown. If the slider never shows, take the iPod to an Apple store genius bar and have the techs check it out...that is free.
Try:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
Whne it says place the iPod in Recovery mode
Place the iPod in recovery mode using one of these programs:

If necessary:

Installs blootware on PC too
- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- Try another cable
- Try on another computer
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.
