Why is the right-click option not working on my desktop?
I use this a lot to put items into the trash and particularly to check the info on my files/folders/apps/etc. I've restarted and when I try to right-click an item on my desktop I get nothing.

Does the same happen with another mouse? i.e. is your mouse broken? Or is it a software issue?
I don't use a mouse. Only the track pad on my laptop. It works fine everywhere else though. It just hasn't been working on the desktop. It's like there's a setting that got changed that I don't know about or something. lol Idk I wish I knew though.
Hi,
Check System Preferences -> Trackpad -> Point and Click
- Check " Secondary click " is enabled. ( click with two fingers )
Cheers
Okay. It's not that either. I just checked and the settings are the way they're supposed to be. I never actually messed with those settings anyway. Hmm..
This *****.
Thanks for checking.
- Try SMC Reset:Intel-based Macs: Resetting the System Management Controller (SMC)
- and NVRAM Reset: About NVRAM and PRAM
- and a Safe Boot OS X: What is Safe Boot, Safe Mode?
- and reboot normally
to reset back to defaults your portable.
- Does the case of the portable appear to bulge?
Cheers
