imessage hoax? received text from imessage team today to forward to 10 people

iChat and early versions of Messages used to have a Formatting Menu and also a Preferences pane for setting Font, text colour and Balloon colour.

AIM on a PC only used some of the colour info to display on the PC version (not full balloons as it were)

Also Mac to Mac using Jabber also worked but rarely did other Jabber apps support the same colour and font abilities.

The iMessages app on the iPhone used to ignore the extra data as it is the app itself that colours the balloons.

That has no become the standard on the macOS version as well.

(I am saying you can ask but Apple have already removed these features (although not as extreme as the list used).)

yeah I keep getting this message from my friends. they say they don't know where it is coming from originally, but that they got it from some friends. no one seems to have gotten it from the actual "iMessage Team" so it is most likely a fake message
