Frozen progress bar on update/rebooting w/o power button

While downloading the latest software update, the progress bar froze on my iPhone 5 and I am stuck on the apple logo screen. Usually an easy fix but I have two other things preventing me from making progress:

1. My power/lock button is broken so I cannot do a hard reset.

2. My phone is passcode protected so I cannot connect to a computer without entering a passcode.... which I can't do because of the frozen phone.

Any ideas?!

You can let it run out of battery and then plug it in and see if it will reset itself. If that doesn't work, you are going to have to take it in and get the Power button repaired, or you won't be able to go any further.
