AFP connection hangs

iTunes content is on a network AFP share point hosted on Mavericks Server. Recently a client to that share point crashed, and after restarting has had problems connecting to the share point. The problem appears to be with ONE user account on the client computer. Other user accounts connect without a problem. Other client computers seem to connect without a problem.

Client computer is running Lion 10.7.5. When user account "ABC" connects to share point as "ABC" he can see the top level of folders. Trying to open a sub-level of folders (iTunes Library) causes the client "ABC" user to hang up with the spinning pinwheel in the lower right corner of the finder window. If "ABC" connects to the share point as user "XYZ" the same thing happens.

From the same client computer logging in as user account "XYZ", can connect to share point without problems either as user "XYZ" or user "ABC".

I'm wondering if there is some pref plist or cache that is corrupted in ~/Library for user "ABC". I have tried cleaning caches using Onyx without success.

Could this be somehow due to the fact that it's the iTunes Folder?

Suggestions?

Back up all data.

Open the Library folder in your home folder by holding down the option key and selecting

Go Library

from the Finder menu bar. From the Library folder, move the following folder to the Trash, then relaunch the Finder and empty the Trash

Caches/com.apple.finder

Test. If there's no improvement, move each of these files to the Desktop:

Preferences/com.apple.finder.plist

Preferences/com.apple.recentitems.plist

Preferences/com.apple.sidebarlists.plist

Log out, log back in, and test. If there's no change, put each file you moved back where it was, overwriting the one that may have been created in its place, and log out again. Otherwise, delete the files you moved.
